What would summer be without Momentum's Summer Intensive? This is our third year putting on a one of a kind Intensive for dancers looking to take their dance to the next level. We are stepping it up and making this year's intensive even bigger and better than all years past! Dancer's this year will experience a full 7 hour day of dance from August 7th-August 10th from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm . Now that's intense.
The 2017 Intensive will be taught at an Intermediate/Advanced level to all dancers ages 9-18. We are happy to accomodate younger dancers if they have the experience to dance at this level.
The dancers will train in all styles from the industry's top choreographers and instructors. For three days the intensive will focus on a diverse curriculum for their week of training, experiencing education not only in technique but on performance and improv skills.
The fourth day of the intensive, "The Show," will be a day of blocking and staging dances, having a full show dress rehearsal, performance class. hair and make-up tutorials. The day will end with a live performance of all the material learned throughout the week for all parents, friends and family that would like to come view!
Our once a year intensive is open to all dancers, ages 9-18 trying to push themselves to the next level. This Intensive is NOT just for those interested in auditioning for MDC's company! If you only take one dance camp this summer make sure you are at this event of the summer!
Dancers auditioing for MDC Competitive Company or Breakthrough on August 12th are highly recommended to attend this intensive.
If a dancer is unable to attend audition on August 12th, you may use the classes at the intensive for your audition as some of the judges for the Company/Breakthrough Auditions will be teaching at the Intensive.
Dancers may drop in for a day at a designated "day rate" if unable to attend the full four days of the Intensive.
Dancers do not have to be members of MDC Competitive Company to attend, nor do they need to be auditioning for Company or Breakthrough at the end of the week. All dancers are welcome to attend this week of training!
