SENIOR Company

The SENIOR Company is the most elite company at MDC. Dancers are 13-18 years of age and have made dance their first priority over all other extra curricular activities.  They represent Momentum Dance Company at national dance competitions, conventions, community and non-community performances.  SENIOR Company members exude a charisma and passion for dance that is contagious.  They set the example for what other company members should strive for and are continously working at improving their craft in and out of rehearsals.  This well-rounded group of dancers are powerful in presence, confidence, and commitment.

 

SENIOR Company Requirements 2018-2019

 

Attend Audition Prep Camp AUgust 13th-17th

 

Attend Choreography Camp

 

Compete a minimum of TWO Company Group Dances

 

90 Minutes of Jazz Technique

 

90 Minutes of Contemporary Technique

 

Two hours of Choreography Rehearsal

 

Two hours of Ballet per week

 

 

Compete at 3 Dance Competitions, 1 Dance Convention/Competition and 1 Nationals Dance Competition during Summer

 

Perform in the Annual Company Concert

 

 

SENIOR Company Members also qualify to:

 

Compete with a SOLO(s) in dance style of choice

 

Compete in Duet/Trio(s)

 

Compete in additional SMALL Groups

 

Participate in Company Production Number

 

Perform with PRO Company in NON Community based performances in Los Angeles and other venues
