Parent Information

Competition is a new concept in the Santa Barbara area, and Betsy would like to further describe the mission, vision, and expectations for Momentum Dance Company to all prospective parents. We encourage you to look over all the information and dates regarding Season Ten and if you have any questions, such  as scheduling, time commitments for each company, competitions for the year and costs for company members, we encourage you to contact the Director for more information. There is a MANDATORY one one one meeting with the director required by every dancer with one parent required to turn in the audition form during the week of Audition Prep Camp August 7-11th.

Judging Panel

The August 19th auditions will be judged by Momentum's Director Betsy Ann and additional MDC Teaching Staff. Additional guest judges attend the annual auditions held in August. All judges have trained in various styles of dancing, including Jazz and Hip Hop.  Most of the judges on the panel have danced in a competitive company, choreographed for competition pieces, and/or have been judges at national and regional dance competitions.  All the judges have worked as professional dancers in today's industry and understand the audition process.  A list of the judges will be disclosed closer to the audition date.
